Symphony of the Seas

Royal Caribbean built the world’s largest cruise ship…again

…..and you know I had to jump on and sea it myself!

As the world’s largest cruise ship by gross tonnage (22,021 tons), Symphony of the Seas is simply massive.

The Symphony is the 4th vessel in the Oasis Class. It is also in my opinion the best as there were 3 predecessors to learn from. The activities are endless and for everyone. Multi generational families listen up! This is where you want to be as there is something for everyone.

A water park, a full-size basketball court, ice-skating rink, two rock climbing walls… it goes on and on but ahhhh you can look all that up!

So moving on.

Royal Caribbean does listen to passenger feedback and does modify what they can if it makes sense. They want to make sure that each ship is easy to maneuver and comfortable for their guests. What should you take from this?

Do that survey you receive after the cruise! Have a complaint? Let them know. Didn’t love the entertainment? Tell them why. Miss the pool in the solarium on the Harmony of the Seas? They need to hear it!

The Symphony is truly a mega-ship and not for the wimpy. Looking for a ship that is small and intimate or easy to navigate? This is not the one for you. This girl is BIG and you will be WOW’d and you will get lost and you will love every minute of it.

As you roam and try to find where you were going in the first place, make sure to glance around and notice the art collection. The price tag being in the tens of millions you can believe, there is something to look at.

It may not appeal to all but it will for sure make you give it a second glance and maybe even let out a chuckle.

If you wander into Central Park you may notice the 20,000 tropical plants. Not Kidding. Yes, to manage this floating garden, they have their very own horticulturist (or 3) on board. If you are there during the day you may hear birds chirping and at night you will hear crickets.

No worries, Not real! Just part of the outdoor fun!

Don’t miss the Boardwalk with the Aqua Theater. This is a must see show…there’s just something about high divers jumping off 30 foot platforms into the deepest pool at sea. Simply Mesmerizing.

Overall she’s not just bigger, she’s faster.

Small design changes were made to the hull that will make it smoother, with less wave action and more efficiency. So basically she’s a little faster using the same power.

And for those wondering is the Symphony really bigger than her fleet mates?

Why YES she is! by about 1%.
